    1922 Double Eagle With A Lamination On The Reverse

    1922 $20 Double Eagle--Lamination Reverse--MS63 PCGS. A long planchet lamination runs from S O in STATES OF down to the top of the eagle's tail. An unusual mint error as gold was closely inspected and few errors are known. The coin otherwise is sharply defined with reddish mint luster. (#9173) (Registry values: N991)
