    Description

1924 Nickel on a Cent Planchet, MS62 Brown

1924 Buffalo Nickel -- Struck on a Cent Planchet -- MS62 Brown NGC. 3.2 gm. Aligned with the collar die near 12 o'clock, this off metal Buffalo nickel displays most of the design, though the designer's initial is off the flan, as is the top half of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The date and mintmark area are intact. LIBERTY exhibits the spreading toward the rim characteristic of an undersized flan. Toned jade-green and plum-red with smooth, glossy surfaces.
