1924-S Dime, MS64 Full Bands
Uncentered Broadstrike
1924-S 10C -- Uncentered Broadstrike -- MS64 Full Bands
PCGS. Any 1924-S dime is highly desirable in Gem condition, but
this piece is also noteworthy as a mint error. The design is
complete on both sides with a broad arc of unstruck surface
centered at 6:30. Rich dove-gray and caramel-gold toning embraces
satiny and unabraded surfaces. Characteristic of a strike without
the restraint of a collar die, the outer legends exhibit spreading
toward the rims.Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 10/2012), lot 5352, which realized $881.25.
