Reverse Indented by Dime Flan
1935-? 25C Washington Quarter--Reverse Indented by Dime
Planchet--AU58 PCGS. The consignor states that this is the
"earliest date indent known," which might be the case if the field
is limited to dime indents on Washington quarters. The dime indent
spans from just inside the rim at 6 o'clock, to the top of the
eagle's head. Any mintmark is obscured by the indent. Untoned and
satiny with little indication of wear.
