Description
Superb Gem 1935 Nickel with a Curved Clip
1935 5C Buffalo Nickel--15% Curved Clip--MS67 NGC. This satiny Superb Gem is predominantly silver-gray in color but has wisps of tan patina. The hair above the braid is not fully struck, but the strike is nonetheless clearly above average. As of (7/04), NGC has certified 14 as MS67 with none finer, but aside from its high technical grade, this Buffalo Nickel is also notable for a curved clip centered at 10 o'clock on the obverse. The rim near 4 o'clock is softly struck, as predicted by the Blakesley effect.(#3974) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22SN, PCGS# 3974, GSID# 3097)
