1936-? Buffalo Nickel, Choice AU
Struck on a Cent Planchet
1936-? 5C Buffalo Nickel -- Struck on a Cent Planchet -- AU55
PCGS. A lightly circulated example of a wrong planchet error on
a popular obsolete type. Aligned with the collar at 5:30, but most
of the design is present except for the mintmark area. The
peripheral legends LIBERTY and FIVE CENTS are stretched toward the
rim, characteristic of the error category. The golden-brown and
apple-green surfaces are impressively unabraded aside from a few
ticks on the reverse rim near 12 o'clock.
