Flipover Double Struck Mercury Dime MS62
194? 10C Mercury Dime--Double Struck, Flipover in Collar--MS62 NGC. We believe the date is 1944, although the final digit is indistinct. A flipover double strike that shows design elements from the first strike along the borders. Much of ONE DIME is present near the date, and the top of Liberty's cap crosses OF AMERICA. The central reverse displays close, wispy marks from a mechanical coin counter.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23KB, PCGS# 5050, Greysheet# 4519)
