Description
1942 50C Half Dollar--Broadstruck--MS 60 Scratched. The curious appearance of this coin may have led someone to question its originality, thus explaining the heavy test scratches in the right obverse field. The rims are extended and poorly defined, but the central highpoints are remarkably crisp for the series. This coin was struck without a collar, and the impression may also be a few degrees off center at 3 o'clock.
