Description
1943-D Cent on an Australia Sixpence Planchet AU50
1943-D 1C Lincoln Cent--Struck on an Australia Sixpence Planchet--AU50 ANACS. The silver alloy of an Australian sixpence planchet is similar in color to the usual steel alloy for a 1943-D, which allowed this wrong planchet error to remain briefly in circulation. Well centered with full rims and light tan and gold toning. Softly struck on portions of the designs, since the undersized flan could not completely fill the dies. From The Pacific Coast Mint Error Collection.
