Description
1943-S Wartime Cent, MS63
On a Silver Dime Planchet
1943-S 1C Lincoln Cent -- Struck on a Silver Dime Planchet --
MS63 PCGS. Ex: Fred Weinberg Collection. 1943-S cents struck on
bronze planchets trade for hundreds of thousands of dollars. 1943-S
cents struck on silver dime planchets are nearly as rare, but can
be obtained for a fraction of the price of their famous bronze
counterparts. This example is similar in color to a zinc-plated
steel specimen, but it is not magnetic and shows softness of
strike, particularly on the 3 in the date and the tops of IN GOD WE
TRUST. Two parallel recessed lines on Lincoln's collar are the sole
detractions.From The Fred Weinberg Collection.
