    Struck on a Jefferson Nickel Planchet

    1943-S Washington Quarter -- Struck on a Five Cent Planchet -- MS64 NGC. 4.9 gm. Large S. An unabraded and coruscating example of a wartime wrong planchet error. Aligned with the collar die at 7 o'clock, the lower obverse and upper reverse are sharp while LIBERTY and QUARTER DOLLAR are incomplete and display pronounced metal flow toward the rim.
