Struck on a Cent Planchet
1944-S Jefferson Nickel -- Struck on Cent Planchet -- AU55
PCGS. The strike is well centered on the cent planchet,
although the smaller diameter and thinner nature of the copper
blank leaves the border legends and rims short of fully defined.
Light wear and chestnut-brown patina attest to a stint in
circulation, although eye appeal is pleasing.
