    Description

    1952-S Cent on a Dime Planchet, MS63

1952-S Lincoln Cent -- Struck on Silver Dime Planchet -- MS63 PCGS. This off-metal cent is orange-gold and wheat-gold, lighter in hue than expected for a red copper cent. Other clues that something is amiss: the strike is soft on Lincoln's shoulder and the O in ONE, the obverse border has a dished appearance, and the tops of E PLURIBUS UNUM are off the flan, all due to the unexpectedly smaller flan.
