Uniface Reverse, Partial Collar
1953 25C Washington Quarter -- Partial Collar, Uniface Reverse
-- AU58 PCGS. Two quarter planchets were fed between quarter
dies, on stacked on top of the other. The present coin was struck
between the obverse die and the other planchet, which prevented the
present piece from coming into contact with the reverse die. The
collar die deployed only partially, causing an obverse rim that is
narrow and shallow near 10:30, and wide and raised near 4:30.
Lightly to moderately toned golden-brown.
