1955-S 1C Cent--Struck on a Type One Dime Planchet--VF35 NGC. The striking details are very irregular because of the difference in the size of the dies. There is actually quite a bit of wear present which is quite surprising considering this coin could not have been mistaken for a regular issue striking--probably a pocket piece.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22FJ, PCGS# 2833, GSID# 2171)
