Description
1957 1C Cent--Struck on a Dime Planchet--AU 55 PCGS. This example appears to have circulated for a short time before it was plucked from someone's pocket change. (One wonders whether it circulated as a dime or as a cent.) There are no noteworthy abrasions, and the coin has an attractive appearance. The surfaces have toned a light silver-gray, and some striking weakness is noted in isolated areas. This is an interesting and scarce error that is very popular among collectors.
