Description

1958 Lincoln Cent, MS63
Struck Over a 1958 Cuba Centavo

1958 1C Lincoln Cent -- Struck Over a 1958 Cuba Centavo -- MS63 NGC. The U.S. Mint struck copper-nickel Cuba centavos in 1958. An example of that KM-30 issue apparently lodged in a Mint tote bin, which was then filled with cent planchets and delivered to a Lincoln cent press. A lustrous and unabraded powder-blue, caramel-gold, and lilac representative. The undertype is distinct on Lincoln's vest and along the obverse margin. The 1958 centavo date is apparent on the upper portion of the right wheat ear. Struck aligned with the collar die at 4:30, with IN GOD WE and the LI in LIBERTY off the flan.
