Struck on a Quarter Planchet
1962-D Franklin Half--Struck on a Silver Quarter Planchet--MS63
PCGS. All of LIBERTY and most of HALF DOLLAR and AMERICA are
off the flan. Satiny and smooth with pleasing golden-brown and
lilac toning, though the strike is slightly soft at the high
points, as expected for the smaller and lighter planchet. A high
quality example of this elusive wrong planchet type combination.
