Description

1963 Cent, MS62 Red and Brown
Struck-Through and Retained Staple

1963 1C Lincoln Cent -- Struck-Through and Retained Staple on Reverse -- MS62 Red and Brown NGC. This is an unusual error with a small metallic staple still embedded in the reverse of the 1963 Lincoln cent. Such an error, a struck-through error with the foreign material still present, while not unique is seldom encountered. Both sides of the coin retain much of the entire original orange mint luster, and has only started to fade to light brown. Light marks (aside from the staple) limit the grade, and the visual presentation is wonderful.
