Description
1963-D Franklin Half Dollar
Struck on a Cent Planchet
MS61 Red and Brown
1963-D 50C Franklin Half -- Struck on a Cent Planchet -- MS61
Red and Brown NGC. 3.1gn. Cherry-red and apple-green toning
embraces this lustrous off-metal mint error. Nearly aligned with
the collar at 7 o'clock, a fortuitous planchet placement that
allows all of the date and mintmark to be present. Appropriately,
HALF DOLLAR is absent. LIBERTY is also missing. A trio of thin test
marks from a perplexed finder are west of the eagle.
