1963-D Half on a Nickel Planchet
Uncirculated Details
1963-D 50C Franklin Half--Struck on a Five Cent Planchet--ANACS.
Unc. Details, Net AU50. A planchet intended for a Jefferson
nickel instead found its way between final-year Franklin half dies.
Ideally centered, since the date and mintmark are complete, and the
portrait, bell, and eagle are virtually intact. Most of the
peripheral legends are absent. Hairlined from an ill-advised
cleaning, but the borders have retoned light golden-brown.
