Description
1964 50C Kennedy Half Dollar--Struck on Silver 25C Planchet--MS63 PCGS. Type Two Reverse. An uncentered example with nearly all of the portrait present, in addition to the left borders. The right borders and the date are mostly off the flan. Its status as a 1964 is certain since it is the only 90% silver business strike issue of the type. Surprisingly sharp for this wrong planchet combination, this satiny piece has faint freckles of dove-gray color. Well preserved aside from a wispy vertical pinscratch on the neck.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24U2, PCGS# 6706, GSID# 6909)
