1964 Half on a Quarter Planchet MS65
1964 50C Kennedy Half--Struck on a 25C Planchet--MS65 PCGS. Type Two Reverse. The centering favors the Great Seal, which is intact from the rays to the fletchings. Only the top of Kennedy's head is off the flan. The legends range from partly to fully absent, but 50% of the date is present. Lustrous and lightly toned with clean fields and minor marks above the jaw. A one-year subtype, since the silver alloy was reduced to 40% in 1965.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24U2, PCGS# 6706, GSID# 6909)
