1964 5C Jefferson Nickel -- Struck on a Dime Planchet -- MS62 NGC. 2.44 gm. Struck on a 90% silver dime planchet, though the weight is between expected levels for a clad dime (2.27 grams) and a 90% silver dime (2.50 grams). Struck flush with the collar die at 5:30. The date is nearly complete, with the top of the 19 absent. All of the country name is missing, as is most of LIBERTY and all of WE TRUST. An interesting cone-shaped strike-through is on the lower left reverse. Mostly brilliant and slightly out of round.Auction Info
