1964-D Jefferson Nickel, MS64
Double Struck, 2nd Strike Off Center
1964-D 5C Jefferson Nickel -- Double Struck, Second Strike Off
Center -- MS64 NGC. The first strike was normal, but the coin
failed to fully eject and was struck a second time, approximately
60% off center toward 10 o'clock, at 8 o'clock relative to the
first strike. The 1964-D was the final Jefferson issue with a
reverse mintmark, and the mintmark is present from both strikes, as
is the date. No planchet was fed between strikes.From The Denny Polly Error Collection.
