    Description

1964-D Five Cent Piece Struck on a Dime Planchet

1964-D 5C Jefferson Nickel--Struck on a Silver Dime Planchet--MS63 PCGS. Select with the expected lack of definition that results from the smaller dime planchet trying to fill the nickel dies. While most of the date and mintmark are off the planchet, enough appears to identify the date and mint. The silver surfaces have peach and olive toning on the soft gray surfaces.
