    Description

Select 1966 Nickel Struck on a Dime Planchet

1966 5C Jefferson Nickel--Struck on a Clad Dime Planchet--MS63 PCGS. Nicely preserved with no trace of wear, though the usual striking weakness is evident. The digits in the date are mostly complete, though only tiny fragments of the peripheral legends appear on the reverse. A lustrous and mostly untoned example of the ever-popular wrong planchet error.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27AE, PCGS# 4198)
