Description
1968-D Washington Quarter--Struck on a Five Cents Planchet--MS65 Uncertified. This is an original 1968 Mint Set as issued, but in this case with the Denver Mint quarter struck on a nickel planchet. This piece appears to grade MS65 with full satiny luster and a trace of gold toning. Accompanying this set, which remains sealed in its original packaging, is a card from J.G. Johnson, dated 2/18/1971 indicating that the coin would appear in a future edition of Coin World, as well as a clipping that actually did appear.Auction Info
