Double Struck Broadstrike 1968-S Nickel, PR64
1968-S 5C Jefferson Nickel--Double Struck with Both Strikes Broadstruck--PR64 NGC. An incredible proof error with fully brilliant surfaces that retain a trace of champagne and gold toning. The obverse, especially, shows evidence of the two broadstrikes, with excellent centering to show the entire design. This piece shows that even proof coins were subject to anomalies within the Mint.From The New England Collection of Error Coins.
