Description
1968-S Nickel Struck on a Previously Struck 1968-Dated Lincoln Cent
1968-S 5C Nickel--Double Denomination on Struck 1C--MS63 PCGS. This error was created when a struck Lincoln Cent was inadvertently fed into the Nickel press. The second impression is rotated more than 90 degrees clockwise in relation to the Cent impression. Although much of the undertype has been effaced, one can still see two dates on the obverse (the word LIBERTY is also evident twice), and the Lincoln Memorial is outlined, if somewhat distended, on the reverse. A fully lustrous, Red example with some grade-limiting carbon on the obverse.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22VN, PCGS# 4081, GSID# 3357)
Weight: 5.00 grams
Metal: Copper
