    Description

1969-D 1C Cent--First Strike Brockage--MS64 Red and Brown ANACS. A spectacular mint error that has a normal obverse while the reverse exhibits an incused, mirrored, and sharp impression from the obverse of a die cap. The first strike from the die cap, as the legends have no trace of the spreading that is characteristic of subsequent strikes. The obverse intermingles gold and lavender color, and the reverse has an olive-brown field and rose-gold hues on the portrait. A faint scratch above Lincoln's ear on the brockage side prevents a higher grade.
