Description
1969-D 50C Half Dollar--Thin Planchet--AU58 ANACS. Apparently the flan was punched from a strip rolled to a thickness intended for Quarter Dollars, although the holder precludes further examination. Light yellow-green patina. The peripheral legends and the eagle's tail are softly struck, as the planchet was not thick enough to completely fill the dies.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24U8, PCGS# 6712, GSID# 6925)
