Description
1969-S Jefferson Nickel, Gem Proof
Struck Through Sanding Disc
1969-S 5C Jefferson Nickel -- Struck Through Sanding Disc --
PR65 PCGS. An error more closely associated with the early
years of the Silver Eagle series. A thin abrasive pad used to
polish the proof dies came between the obverse die and the obverse
of the present Gem. The obverse is evenly granular but the legends
and portrait are nonetheless clear. The reverse has a normal
mirrored appearance.
