Description
MS63 1971-D Ike Dollar
with Missing Obverse Clad Layer
1971-D Eisenhower Dollar--Obverse Clad Layer Missing--MS63
PCGS. The obverse has cherry red coloration from the copper
core of the coin. The reverse bonded to the cupro-nickel alloy but
the peripheral details are weak, diagnostic for the error type
since the planchet was too thin to completely fill the dies.
Impressive Ike dollar errors are very scarce and in demand.
