Description
Double Struck PR66 1972-S Quarter
1972-S 25C Washington Quarter--Obverse Double Struck--PR66 Obverse Cameo ANACS. Frosty devices and contrasting blue-gray fields define this luminous proof. The obverse (hammer) die was loose, and rotated several degrees counterclockwise between the two strikes. The reverse (anvil) die was stationary, and as a result, the reverse has no evidence of a rotated double impression.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27JC, PCGS# 6004, Greysheet# 5935)
