1972-S 5C Jefferson Nickel -- Uniface Obverse, Coin #1 -- PR65
PCGS. The mate coin for the present lot is the next lot. Two
Jefferson nickel planchets were fed between proof dies, with one
planchet precisely aligned above the other. The collar die
prevented any diameter expansion. As one might expect, the strike
is razor-sharp on the obverse. The reverse is slightly wavy and
nearly featureless, since it was struck against a planchet instead
of the reverse die.
