    1974 Ike Dollar, MS64
    Struck Through Duct Tape

1974 $1 Eisenhower Dollar -- Obverse Struck Through Duct Tape -- MS64 PCGS. A thick strip of duct tape, approximately 10 mm x 5 mm, was struck into the obverse between 7 and 8 o'clock. On most struck-through mint errors, the foreign object dislodged and no longer accompanies the coin. But on the present piece, the duct tape remains affixed, increasing its value and interest. Lustrous and well struck with light almond-gold and silver-gray toning. Minor marks on Ike's jaw and upper neck determine the grade.
