Description

1974-D Eisenhower Dollar, MS65
Struck on a Roosevelt Dime

1974-D Eisenhower Dollar -- Overstruck on a 1974-D Dime -- MS65 NGC. President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his leading general, Dwight D. Eisenhower, are reunited on this rare double denomination combination. Roosevelt gazes northeast relative to Eisenhower. On the reverse, the flame of the torch from the dime is on the eagle's neck. The centering favors E PLURIBUS UNUM and Eisenhower's neck. A majority of the dollar date is present, and the mintmark is bold. From the dime date, 197 is visible but the mintmark and final date digit are lost in Ike's chin. Lustrous, untoned, and well preserved.
