1974 Jefferson Nickel--Struck on Cent Planchet--MS66 Red and Brown NGC. This is a fascinating mint error that features a 1974 Jefferson nickel, struck on a Lincoln cent planchet. Even more unusual is the fact that the reverse impression, from the Jefferson nickel die, has been diagonally struck over the obverse portrait impression of our nation's third president. Deep purple-rose and electric-blue toning across both sides is highlighted by intense, satiny mint luster.Auction Info
