Description
Error Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollar With a Reverse Indent From a Quarter Planchet
1976 $1 Type One Eisenhower Dollar--Reverse Indented by 25C Planchet--MS64 PCGS. A Quarter planchet intervened between the lower left reverse and the anvil die at the time of striking with the result that there is an as-struck indentation where the bottom of the Liberty Bell should be. The impression is also a little soft around the peripheries of this mostly golden-gray example. A tiny blemish (as struck?) is noted in the left obverse field.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# B76K, PCGS# 7418, Greysheet# 7919)
