Struck on a Nickel Planchet
1976 25C Bicentennial Quarter -- Struck on a Nickel Planchet --
MS62 PCGS. Light golden and pale lilac hues accent the satiny
luster of this wrong planchet error. The strike is moderately well
centered on the flan, and central definition on Washington's hair
is strong. A few Bicentennial quarters are known on nickel
planchets, and Bicentennial quarter errors as a whole are popular
with collectors who pursue this subset.Formerly in the Collection of Fred Weinberg.
