Struck Through and Retained Copper Staple
1977-S $1 Eisenhower Dollar -- Struck Through & Retained Copper
Staple -- PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS. An unusual error, struck
through a copper staple with the staple fully retained in the
planchet. The staple runs from the IB in LIBERTY through
Eisenhower's portrait to the final 7 in the date. The President's
profile is clear of the staple. The coin itself is deeply mirrored
and beautifully preserved, with brilliant surfaces.
