Struck on a Dime Planchet, Clashed Dies
1977-S 5C Jefferson Nickel -- Struck on a 10C Planchet, Clashed
Dies -- PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC. (2.3 grams). Error coins struck
from clashed proof dies have become increasingly popular with
collectors. This 1977-S proof nickel shows prominent clashing in
the central fields, but it is also struck on a dime planchet -- a
dual error piece with significant visual interest. The coin is
brilliant and deeply mirrored, with strong cameo contrast. The
border legends are indistinct and run off the flan. Incorrectly
