Gem 1979 Nickel, Struck Off Center on a Cent Planchet
1979 5C Jefferson Nickel--Struck 5% Off Center on a Cent Planchet--MS65 Red and Brown--PCGS. Struck slightly off center toward 1 o'clock, and also struck on a cent planchet. A double mint error, and perhaps irreproducible as such. The orange-gold color has mellowed to gunmetal-blue in the centers. The date is nearly fully present, although UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is mostly absent.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22WC, PCGS# 4102, Greysheet# 3350)
