    1979-P Anthony Dollar, MS67
    Struck Over a 1978 Nickel

1979-P SBA$ Anthony Dollar -- Overstruck on a 1978 Jefferson Nickel -- MS67 NGC. The dollar mintmark is bold. The upper two-thirds of each date digit is present. The bottom of the 78 of the nickel undertype is visible on the feathertips of the eagle's right (facing) wing. Jefferson's profile is near the eagle's legs, and Anthony's nose is near the dome of Monticello. The surfaces are pristine with only a trace of golden toning. Most double denomination coins are cents on dimes, and the present type combination is rare. This is the only known dual-date known for this pairing.
