Gem 1979-S Anthony Dollar Struck on a Dime Planchet
1979-S SBA$ Susan B. Anthony Dollar--Struck on a Dime Planchet--MS65 PCGS. The date and mintmark are intact on this uncommon wrong planchet combination. Most of Anthony's bust and the eagle are present, but LIBERTY and ONE DOLLAR are fully off the flan. Light tan patina graces this lustrous and carefully preserved mint error. The 1979-S Anthony Dollar was one of the final circulation issues from the San Francisco Mint, which since the 1980-S Dollar has been devoted to proof and commemorative production.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2595, PCGS# 9573, Greysheet# 7973)
