Uncirculated 1981-P Half Dollar
Broadstruck with 90% Indent
1981-P 50C Kennedy Half -- Huge Broadstrike & 90% Indent -- MS60
PCGS. Incorrectly listed as a 1981-D on the insert, but the
date and P mintmark are complete and clear. Two planchets were fed
instead of one, slightly misaligned in a manner that blocked the
collar die. The bottom planchet became the present coin, struck
between the reverse die and the top planchet, with the top planchet
indenting most of the obverse of the present piece but fortituously
allowing the date and mintmark. The almond-gold and gunmetal
