1987 Lincoln Cent, MS66 Red
Double Struck, 2nd Strike Off Center
1987 1C Lincoln Cent -- Double Struck, Second Strike Off Center
-- MS66 Red NGC. The first strike was normal. The second strike
was approximately 50% off center toward 12 o'clock, at 6:30
relative to the first strike. The date from both strikes is
complete. A layer of zinc was forced out from the interior during
the second strike, and deposited on the periphery of the second
strike, and the obverse rim of the first strike between 9 o'clock
and 10:30.From The Denny Polly Error Collection.
