1997 1C Lincoln Cent--Reverse Die Cap--MS67 Red NGC, a deep die cap, the obverse design is apparent but distorted and the borders are wrapped around the reverse die, the reverse is sharp, some zinc has been driven from the interior and struck onto the reverse; and a 1997 Lincoln Cent--Obverse Die Cap--MS68 Red NGC, a very deep die cap with a bold and normal obverse strike and an incused, reversed, and distorted (but certainly recognizable) broadstrike of Lincoln on the reverse. The two pieces have the look of a mated pair, although not designated by NGC as such.Auction Info
