Description
Unbelievable 1999 Broadstrike With Partial Obverse Brockage
1999 1C Cent--Broadstruck With Obverse Brockage--MS66 Red NGC. Wow, this coin is a mess! The broadstrike expanded the planchet so far that there are two pie-shaped splits on the edge and the piece looks like it is about the size of a quarter. The broadstrike is well centered. The brockage is a later striking with the reverse image greatly distended and off center, covering the left side of the obverse. Smooth, even red color over each side. You really have to see this coin to believe and appreciate it. This may bring a surprising amount when it is hammered down.(#3154) (Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22K2, PCGS# 3154, GSID# 2319)
